OVERVIEW
UND1C1 is a tabletop game for two players, each acting as a soccer coach.
Each coach controls a team of 11 chips (players) and has a deck of 20 strategy cards.
You’ll need a cunning strategy to outsmart the opponent and secure the victory.

CHIPS
In UND1C1, each player is represented by a round chip.
Each chip displays the player name as well as his kit number, preferred position and special abilities.

PITCH
UND1C1 pitch is organized into boxes.
Players may move on it by one or two boxes at a time.
Shots, crosses and headers can only be attempted from specific zones.

CARDS
Each coach draws one card at the end of each turn.
Cards differ one from another by their effect and duration.
Coaches are allowed to play a maximum of three cards during their turn.

CORE RULES
PREPARATION
To begin a match, coaches line up their squads based on player preferred positions, then toss a coin to decide who plays first.
KICK-OFF
The winning coach places one of his players in a box in the midfield circle, putting the ball on top of him.
He then moves the ball from this player to any teammate, completing the first action (kick-off) of his first turn.

TURN PHASES
During one turn, a coach can: perform up to three ACTIONS, place up to two PADLOCKS, play up to three CARDS.
After these phases, he is obliged to draw one card from his deck. After that, the turn of the opponent coach begins.
ACTIONS
Actions include individual or group movement, pass, shot, dribbling or tackle.
The outcome of each action (except for movements) is decided by means of a dice roll.

PADLOCKS
After performing his actions, a coach may place up to two padlocks (one white, one black) on the pitch.
Padlocks are used to man-mark opponent players or to prevent them from stepping on certain boxes.

STRATEGY CARDS
After placing the padlocks, the coach is obliged to draw a card from his deck, ending its turn.

END OF THE GAME
The match ends when both coaches run out of cards in their decks.

We are three Italian friends who love soccer and board games. We’ve been looking for years for an entertaining, realistic and fast-paced soccer simulator. Surprisingly enough, we couldn’t find any. So we promised each
other we would create that very game ourselves.
We started working on UND1C1 in late 2018, aiming at a simple, true to life, immersive gameplay. In 2019, we presented our first prototype at Modena Play and Spiel Essen, where we gathered priceless feedbacks from
the boardgame community (players, editors, designers). Two years of intense playtesting followed, during which we never stopped experimenting,
changing, refining, and… refining again. Today we can proudly say we kept our promise – UND1C1 is the ultimate soccer board game and we’re thrilled to share it with you!
